If you like cold sandwiches made with ice cold bread, frozen tomatoes, and almost frozen meat, then this is the place for you. Add some ice cold baked beans and you're all set. My friend's sandwich was also frozen. They should change the name to something like "House of Ice" or "Aunt Arctica's Sandwiches" or they could drop the sandwiches all together and start selling cigars.

Been coming here for years. Whenever I roll through town I try to stop in and grab a sandwich. He does some really nice meat and game that I urge you to try! Also gift baskets are a good gift :) support small businesses!

Great food! Awesome decor! I went with the Cajun Chicken sandwich and it was amazing.

One of my all time favorite places in town!! They smoke all the meat themselves and the quality is apparent in each bite! You can order off the menu for sandwiches but you can also just order stuff to take home. I LOVE their turkey and enjoy taking a pound home at times. The buffalo sausage is also pretty darn awesome and a family favorite!! While the store front customer service isn't overwhelmingly friendly for sandwiches, the ladies are still attentive and helpful. I love it here!!!

This is an interesting pace to grab dinner lunch to say the least. It's a deli first restaurant second. There is some neat decorations on the wall. Though the building is very dated and the bathroom is downright dirty. Hence the lower score. I was feeling adventurous and ordered the mountain man burger. It's a blend of weeks boar, antelope, elk, bison and venison. It was better than I expected and not nearly as gamey as I anticipated. They have lots of other interesting options such as rattle snake, rabbit and of course bull fries.

I got the BBQ pulled pork and a side of Mac and cheese. The pork was not pulled it was sliced and over done. There was too much sauce. There was a smoky flavor to the sauce that was good. The Mac and cheese was Ready Mac from a box. I would not recommend.

Now this is a deli!!! How is it Thornton is surrounded by franchise "delis" like Subway, and little old Fort Lupton has this amazing little sandwich shop/meat market. I just started working in town and will be frequenting this place often!! 4 stars and not 5???? Hours are early.

A great find in a place that doesn't have a ton of options. It's more of a deli than a restaurant, but the smoke/butcher their own meats and have a lot of variety. I opted for the Foghorn Sandwich w/ham and bean soup on the side. Both were tasty and the sandwich had a beautiful crusty bread that almost outshined the meat. A little on the pricey side, but tasty food isn't cheap. Only com would be lack of attention/helpfulness of the staff. Not really wanting to be super friendly, give suggestions, seem like they'd rather be in the back away from customers. Kinda odd but lunch was still good. Worth a stop.

Good stuff. I was told this place was just okay so despite driving by it hundreds of times I never stopped. But after seeing the pics on Yelp I decided the person that told me just okay was nuts. Really good sandwiches and VERY good prices. Seriously for what it would cost to eat at Subway you get a real sandwich. I bought four, smoked salmon wrap, reuben, and two huge subs for just over $20. All were delicious.

Stumbled onto this place looking for a gas station. They had some awesome smoked lunch meat, BBQ beef, Spicy Pickled Eggs and Buffalo Brats. The ladies behind the counter added to this place's small town charm. Can't wait to come back and try some of their exotic meats.

It's shameful how hard it is to find a decent muskox sandwich nowadays, but fortunately the house of smoke has you covered (seriously). This place is super cool. Not only do they make a mean sandwich out of anything from turkey to cape buffalo, but they sell these meats deli-style for less than a grocery store. They make a wide range of sausage in-house, and if you have had one of those huge turkey drumsticks at a concert or flea market in the metro area, it came from the House of Smoke. You would be amazed how many restaurants in Colorado get their sustainable, farm-to-table meats from this tiny shop in Fort Lupton. I am a Cajun cuisine freak, and like everyone of my ilk, I'm very snobby about authenticity. Before I found the House of Smoke, I ordered the andouille for my Christmas gumbo straight from New Orleans, and ended up paying almost $10/lb with shipping. House of Smoke's andouille is indistinguishable from that made in The Big Easy, and is about $3/lb!
